Monday Again

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

1. Rearranging

If you know me at all or even the tiniest bit, you will know that I LOVE to rearrange things. Purses, clothes, dishes, furniture, my life (ha) and so on. Well this weekend I decided that it was time to rearrange my apartment for probably the 15th time since I have moved to Japan 9 months ago. I am kind of scared what my future husband will think of this one day. :/

2. Fall

Fall has finally arrived here in Japan. Thank goodness. I was tired of sweating all of the time. I love having my windows open and having a nice crisp breeze blow into my apartment. I also love that I haven’t turned my air conditioner on in almost a month! Woot!

3. Gum

Right now I am chewing a piece of gum. I cannot tell you the last time that I chewed a piece of gum. I cannot chew it at work and Japanese people aren’t big gum chewers either.

4. Super Size

Last night I watched ‘Super Size Me’ for the first time. At first all I could think of is how delicious some of that food would be to eat. I miss American food. I don’t hate Japanese food I just miss some good American greasyness once in a while. But by the end of the movie… I was disgusted, but still wanted it. haha

5. Apple Cider

One thing that I am currently missing about the Fall season is apple cider. I am going to attempt to hopefully make some this week or next but I’m sure that it won’t turn out as well as I would hope for it to be.

That’s all for now!

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

1. Hummus= love.
I have fallen in love with hummus. About a year ago you could find me gagging at it. I guess moving overseas and trying new things all the time changes your taste buds. So tonight, I am attempting to make hummus for the first time. EEK.

2. Chopsticks
I have realized that I prefer eating my salad with chopsticks over a fork. The other night I was at my friend’s house and we were eating salad and I asked if I could have some chopsticks because the fork was just too difficult for me.

3. Magic Number
The magic number is 80. 80 days until I am in America. HOLY E.X.C.I.T.E.M.E.N.T!

4. Pixie
I am thinking about in a year from now chopping ALL of my hair off into a short pixie cut. I’m still trying to decide if I have the face for it or not.

5. Ice Cream
I love ice cream. You can bribe me with it.

Until next time,

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

Well another Monday has come and gone. It amazes me how fast time flies.

1. Decisions. I am trying to decide what I want to do next in my life. I have been seeking the Lord and I am trying to follow Him in my next step in life.

2. Labor day. Well, here in Japan, they don’t have that holiday. So, today I worked. It wasn’t too bad. I just miss all of the greasy goodness of Santa-Cali-Gon and all of the interesting people you can see as well.

3. Bffness. My best friend Hannah Ruthie is going to be arriving in 5 days. I cannot wait. It is going to be so much fun to have her here. She is representing all of my friends back home that cannot come to Japan. Know that I still love you.

4. Bible readin’. So last night I started reading the Bible straight through. I am hoping to do this in three months. I will let you know how this goes.

5. Cleaning. Today I cleaned my drains in my bathroom. I poured the magical solution down the drains and 8 hours later, wah-la. The cleanest drains that I have ever seen in my life. Magic I tell you, magic.

6. Biking. Tomorrow I am going to start biking one hour every morning. I hope I don’t die.

Well that is all folks.

I hope that you have a great week!

Monday Monday…

30 Aug

Monday’s are always a lot of fun for me. It is a new start to the week and it is just refreshing.

I am going to start blogging every Monday.

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

Ichi:

On Saturday I was putting something away in my cabinets at work and I was bent over. When I went to stand back up, I had this terrible pain in my lower back. Kill. It is not something that I was looking forward to dealing with all weekend.

Ni:

I am starting Japanese class again. I will be taking Japanese for one hour a week. This is not enough to learn hardly anything but it will do for now and it will give me something to look forward to on Monday’s.

San:

My apartment is currently set on 17 degrees celsius. For all of you non-metric people, that is 62 degrees Farenheit. I love coldness and I love being under the covers. Is that weird?

Shi:

Today at school one of my students gave me a shoulder massage. It was heaven. Sylvia is such a precious little girl. I love her so much and I am so glad that she is in my class.

Go:

12 days from now I will be hugging my best friend Hannah Ruthie. I could not be any more excited.

I hope that you will look forward to Monday’s and not regret them like the rest of the world.
