Marvy Monday

Well another Monday has come and gone. It amazes me how fast time flies.

1. Decisions. I am trying to decide what I want to do next in my life. I have been seeking the Lord and I am trying to follow Him in my next step in life.

2. Labor day. Well, here in Japan, they don’t have that holiday. So, today I worked. It wasn’t too bad. I just miss all of the greasy goodness of Santa-Cali-Gon and all of the interesting people you can see as well.

3. Bffness. My best friend Hannah Ruthie is going to be arriving in 5 days. I cannot wait. It is going to be so much fun to have her here. She is representing all of my friends back home that cannot come to Japan. Know that I still love you.

4. Bible readin’. So last night I started reading the Bible straight through. I am hoping to do this in three months. I will let you know how this goes.

5. Cleaning. Today I cleaned my drains in my bathroom. I poured the magical solution down the drains and 8 hours later, wah-la. The cleanest drains that I have ever seen in my life. Magic I tell you, magic.

6. Biking. Tomorrow I am going to start biking one hour every morning. I hope I don’t die.

Really?

I move to Japan in 26 days.

HOLY SMOKES that is so soon!

Today I got my plane ticket and I got my address of my apartment in Japan. This is really starting to become a reality. I even started packing. I started packing all of the little things. Things that I don’t want to stress about in 3 weeks.

This is the biggest move that has happened in my life. Yes, I have packed my stuff up and moved to college 4 times and moved home. Yes, I lived in Africa for 2 months. Yes, I lived in Thailand for 1 month. But packing everything that I want to take to move to another country for 14 months, it is starting to get a little overwhelming. Especially when you have 4 bags to put them in.

Thankfully I don’t have to pack food. :]

My bff Hannah sent me this verse this week. It was like a hug from a far.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27

prayers for peace would be welcomed.

Aborting the USA

I leave in 67 days.

I am moving to Japan in 67 days. This means that I actually have less than that to hang out with my friends and family. I have to take into account that I will be working, sleeping, hanging out with the family, or hanging out with the friends.

So, if you would like to hang out, let me know. We should schedule something fun to do. I love to eat good food, drink coffee, sit and chit chat, play (some) games, and shop. If you like to do any of those things, awesome, we shall have a great time.
